Moyola Angling Association has secured £28000 to improve access to the river  for anglers between Lisnamuck Bridge,Tobermore and Derrynoid Bridge Draperstown.  The finance was obtained by working in close  collaboration with Sperrins Gateway Landscape Partnership via the Heritage Lottery fund and Magherafelt District Council.  The Association are extremely grateful to Fiona Bryants of Sperrin Gateway and John Murtagh of Magherafelt Council for the invaluable help they gave in obtaining the finance and overseeing the project.

Between the two Bridges all fences and hedges are being provided with a stile and where necessary streams and tributaries of the main river are having bridges erected, The work is being carried out by a work party from Network Personnel, Magherafelt under the supervision of Brian McAlynn.
The Stiles and Bridges are being supplied by Michael Brunton of MPB Decking Draperstown.
Concrete and paint materials are being supplied by Heron Bros Draperstown.

The work is due to be completed by Spring 2014 and anglers fishing this stretch of the river, will see a major improvement in their access to the river during the new fishing season.
