For the 1st and 2nd of May The Francis Loane Memorial Trophy for the heaviest fish went to Stanley Aspinall, 2nd place went to Sean Henry and 3rd place went to Brian Bigmore. The Martin O’Neill Memorial Cup for the heaviest bag of fish sent to Adrian McKay, 2nd place went to Stanley Aspinall and 3rd place went to Willie Darragh.
The Meet at Regans Junior Cup was won by Jason Bateson, this is the second win this season so far for him. 2nd place went to John McKay – they had two very good bags of trout. The pairs competition was won by Stanley Aspinall and Adrian McKay, 2nd place went to Kenny McCracken and Jason Bateson who helped Kenny out big time!!! A big hand has to go to Philip and Bernie Maguire who cooked up a superb BBQ on both evenings and also to Moira Harkin and Willie Darragh for all their help. All in all another good weekend and the fishing wasn’t bad either.
I would like to thank those who donated money to my daughters who ran the Belfast Marathon for Motor Neuron Disease.
