Lough Neagh Heritage Lecture & Tour

Lough Neagh Partnership is hosting a lecture & tour at Ballyronan Marina on Monday 27thAugust 2012. Archaeologist Moira O’Rourke will present a talk entitled From Stone Tools to Flying Boats – the Heritage of Lough Neagh which will look at the varied evidence for human settlement on the shore of the lough spanning 7000 years. The talk will be followed with a tour of the medieval church and holy well at Cranfield; the strategic position of Toomebridge; the medieval church and High Cross at Ardboe; and the early 17th century fort at Mountjoy, Brockagh. Suitable footwear and raincoats advisable.
