Congratulations to club member Michael O'Kane on becoming a GAIA Professional Game Angling Instructor.
Michael
took his Double Handed Rod Casting and Salmon Angling assessment at an
event held on the River Suir at Kilsheelan, Co.Tipperary on the 17th
September.
"It's great to
become a GAIA qualified instructor, I have been working hard towards
this for the last two years now, being helped by my good friend Robert
Gillespie in Foxford. I am now looking forward to doing as much
instruction as I can and aiming for my APGAI and FFF exams next year",
said Michael.
The exam was assessed by Philip Maher,
William Holmes and American Master Instructor Rick Williams. The
examination was made up of two hours of practical demonstration and
explanation on a variety of techniques with a double handed rod.
Assessor Philip Maher commented on the performance feedback sheet, "Very
good assessment and will be an asset to the organisation."
