Dinner Dance a 'great success'
Monday, November 24, 2008
Around 140 people turned up at the O'Neill Arms Hotel, Toomebridge to see Steven Brennan scoop a net-full of trophies, while Peter O'Neill's luck finally ran out as he was handed the Wooden Spoon for his failure to catch a salmon on the Moyola in 2008.
After a superb dinner served by the attentive staff of the O'Neill Arms, anglers were given their prizes and awards. An auction was also held which proved very profitable for the club, especially the sale of the Eoghan Quigg signed t-shirt.
It is understood that, if Simon Cowell doesn't sign the Dungiven teenager, our very own Willy Darragh will offer him a record deal.
The Club would like to express their sincere thanks to the Hotel for the excellent night, and to all their patrons for their continued support in 2008.
