Open Day 2012
Friday, July 6, 2012
The Moyola Anglers Open Day takes place on Saturday September 29th.
Proceedings kick off at 11 am. The Pond will be open from 11 am to 1pm with a 1 hour break when we will have a display by the World Of Owls, which proved to be a fantastic entertaining and educational display. The Duck Race will also be held before the lake opens again to give the remaining children a chance at landing there first trout.
Cost per child is £2 and one fish may be kept by each child.
Please feel free to bring along your own rods etc, but dont worry if you dont have any as the club can supply them along with worms. Sweetcorn and powerbait will not be allowed.
As with all other years each child must be accompanied by an adult.
DCAL are going to stock the lake for the Open Day, These fish cost a lot of money for which we are very grateful.
An open competition will take place on Sunday 30th. Admission is £10, legal methods include fly fishing, spinning and worms. No sweetcorn or powerbait will be allowed
The competitions secretary will explain the rules before the competition and his decision is final.
The Digger has started work and we would need all the help we can get in the next few weeks to get the Lake cleared.
The digger can only reach so far out into the Lake, so we might need boats to clear the rest.
So please come along every evening and help us to get this Lake ready for a very special day for our Junior Anglers.
The Ponds are now closed to all club members until Monday 1st October.
Hopefully this year will be as successful as the previous years.
