reply to: glenn moore.

it is hard to tell how many fish are in th ponds at present.
we stocked last year with well over 300 brown trout to 2 1/2 lb. initially it was thought the fish would only evade capture for a short time, but its great to see that club members are still enjoying the sport nearly a year later.
the trout have faired very well through the past 11 months, so this tells us that the pond has very good feeding.
if anyone is interested in lending a hand to get the ponds into shape this year for the open day they can make them selves known to a committee member or come along to the next meeting in he bridge bar castledawson on monday 18th august at 8pm.
we had a huge effort last year which was a big success......
lets hope this year is every bit as good.

I accept he point that we have good bailiffs but everyone knows the area where a small number of people fish without permits .The area is quite easily checked in my opinion.I fully support the bailiffs in any action they take around the Lisnamuck area.

In reply to MMG, there are some pictures in the hatchery including one showing an unscheduled swim by a certain gentleman. As well as that JON has a couple of photos I took of electrofishing some years ago. He was-ahem- supposed to return them

Re: comments posted on the website by Fairplay. The Moyola Angling Association has a strong team of bailiffs who do their best to ensure that only club anglers and day ticket holders are fishing the river on any given day. However with the recent floods and runs of fish, there will be a number of locals and visitors chancing their arm. I would ask individuals such as 'Fairplay' to report such activity to a bailiff. If you cannot get in touch with a bailiff, email info@moyolaangling.com and we will forward you relevant details. Thankyou for raising this matter.

Congratulations on the website. I suggest that the gallery is a potentially wonderful outlet for older photos. I was also thinking that there are older anglers about who would have wonderfu tales to telland the website is the place to share them.
Hello John, was reading your post and if you know of anyone with older pictures, maybe you have a few yourself, [there's few pix of people falling in] just send to me at info@moyolaangling.com. Cheers Mickey.

I hear that the area between Tobermore Bridge and the Weddel Bridge does not require a Club Permit. This would fit in with my experience as I seem to be the only legit angler about.I will seriously reconsider my membership next year as I feel a fool.
