Last Monday evening the Moyola club fished for a new cup the Colin & Hannah Doherty Memorial Cup which was presented by Gary Doherty to the winner Barry Diamond who had three fine Trout on the worm,one was 1lb 1 1/2 oz which is the heaviest Brown Trout in competition this season,in joint second place was junior angler Mathew Doyle and Tommy McGrath both on the fly,and in third place was Brian Bigmore on the fly. Our next  competition is the Maguire Cup which is our last evening competition this season this Monday evening the 28th of July.Tight Lines.

The Watterson Cup was up for grabs last Monday evening and in first place on the spinner was Brian Bigmore,in second place was Wesley McClenaghan  on the worm,and in third place was Andy Glendinning on the worm,best junior was Eimhear McClenaghan. Top of the leader board is Brian Bigmore on 54 points,next is Philip Maguire on 50 points,Stanley Aspinall on 45 point,Tommy Mcgarth is on 42 points,and Barry Diamond is on 41 points, our best junior is Eimhear McClenaghan who is on 36 points.Our next Competition is the Colin & Hannah Doherty Memorial Cup on the 21st of July so hope to see a good few out for this .Anyone wishing  to go to Mill Lough in  Fermanagh on the 2&3 of August can you let me know as soon as possible,and anyone wishing to hire a boat let me know as there are only 4 boats available thanks. The Moyola and the Mid Ulster Angling clubs held there annual open charity for Charis competition last Saturday at Lough Few. A total of 33 senior and 2 juniors tuck part and a total of £725- was lifted for Charis.A big thanks to Robert Paul, Philip Maguire and Brian Bigmore for all there help, and to all the ladys from Charis for the tea after the fishing,also a big thanks to all those who donated prizes for our ruffle.Winner of the best overall bag of fish went to Robert Paul who is a joint member of both Clubs,Best boat angler went to Ruth Arrell from the Moyola Club well done Ruth, Best bank angler went to Stephen Kirk a new member of the Moyola Club well done Stephen,and the heaviest fish of 2lb3oz went to Brian Bigmore from Moyola.Thanks to everyone for coming along today.The Moyola's next competition is the Watterson cup this Monday evening the 7th of July so come along and enjoy some good evening fishing.Tight Lines.

The Jack Lennox Cup was fished for on Monday evening, In first place was Paul Fulton who wins his first ever competition fly fishing well done Paul,in second place was lasts week winner Andy Glendinning on bait,and in third place was Barry Diamond on bait.Our next competition is our Charity Competition with the Mid Ulster angling for Charis this Saturday at Lough Fea,  Starting time is 1.00pm until , 6.00pm. With prize given up in Charis after this.    so hope to see a few of the Moyola anglers at this.

Yes not many about that size, was going to use them as a wee boat up at lough Fea for a bit of boat fishing if nobody claimed them. Sent an email to Moyola angling so you should get them back soon.

The competition result for the Wilbert Pickering cup which was fished for last Monday evening. IN first place was Andy Glendinning bait fishing, I believe this is Andy first competition won, so well done to Andy, in second place was Wesley McClenaghan bait and in third place was Brian Bigmore on bait.our best junior was Matthew Doyle on the fly, followed by Eimhear McClenaghan on the worm.Our next competiton on the 23th of June is the Jack Lennox cup, and on the 28th of June is our jointed Charity competition for CHARIS. With the Mid ulster Angling Club at Lough Few so hope to see a lot of anglers on that day. Tight Lines.

The Glenview Perpetual Cup was fished  on Monday the 26th of May.There were 16 seniors and 3 juniors out, and in first place was Philip Maguire lure fishing, In second place was our two Ladys Ruth Arrell and Eimhear McClenaghan, so well done to the ladys, and in third place after a few years away was  Johnny Hurl,  Well  done Johnny, Our leader board  at this stage of the season has Philip Maguire ahead on 41 points, next is Brian Bigmore on 34 points,Tommy McGrath is on 32 points,Barry Diamond and Stanley Aspinall on 31 points, Ruth Arrell  is on 28 points,Ryan O'Neill had 22 points,and Patsy Harkin is on 20 points.Best of our junior' is Eimhear McClenaghan on 26 points,Joseph Spiers and John McKay are on20 points. Our next competiton is this Monday evening the 9th of June the Wilbert Pickering Cup,so hope to see a few more anglers out for this one. Tight Lines.
